War Stories Chronicles
The War Stories Chronicles is a literary fiction series (and multi-media project) by Axley Jade Blaze exploring addiction, love, beauty, destruction, and the mythology of a generation raised among the ruins of the American dream.
Told in reverse chronology, the series begins with recovery in Addictarium and moves backward through time, peeling away the layers of history, heartbreak, obsession, and self-destruction that shaped the lives of its characters. Each novel serves as both a standalone story and a fragment of a larger narrative, gradually revealing the origins of a war that has already been fought.
Set against a landscape of fading Americana, forgotten highways, motel rooms, warped detoxes, dive bars, chemical romance, and generational decay, The War Stories Chronicles examines the collision between longing and ruin. Its characters search for love, meaning, freedom, and transcendence while navigating worlds shaped by addiction, violence, desire, and loss.
Throughout the series, addiction functions as both metaphor and battlefield. Love stories become war stories. Beauty emerges from wreckage. Every victory carries a cost, and every ending conceals a beginning.
Blending literary fiction with dark Americana and psychological realism, The War Stories Chronicles is a meditation on survival, memory, and the fragile dreams that persist even in the shadow of collapse.
The war may be over.
The story begins there.

Addictarium (Echoes of the Ward)
Written in lyrical, poetic prose and interwoven with original poetry, Addictarium is a literary novel about the cost of survival, the seduction of self-destruction, and the uncomfortable reality that recovery is not the end of the war—it is often where the hardest battles begin.

Narcotary (Chemical Warfare)
Raw, visceral, and unflinchingly honest, Narcotary is a literary novel about addiction, abandonment, resilience, and the brutal realities of starting over when there is nothing left to return to. More than a story of recovery, it is a story of survival—of learning how to keep moving forward when the life you built collapses beneath your feet.

GeneSedation Rx (One Nation Under Drugs)
Before Addictarium. Before Narcotary. Before the stories had names, there was an addiction.
This is not the beginning of the addiction.
It is the descent toward the end.
GeneSedation Rx is the story of what happens when getting high stops being an escape and becomes a way of life—and when the people around you become both your family and your accomplices.
One Nation, Under Drugs.
